How Perspective Changes as Life Moves Along

One of the most interesting parts of life is realizing how much your perspective changes over time.

Things that once felt so important don’t always carry the same weight. And the things you didn’t think much about become the things you appreciate the most.

I’ve noticed that through each season of life, I’ve learned something new about what matters.

When I moved to Utah almost 13 years ago, I had no idea how much life would change. I started in Orem, then moved to Salt Lake, and now we’re in Tooele.

Each place taught me something different.

There were seasons of figuring things out, building routines, and learning what I wanted my life to feel like.

Home Feels Different Now

When I was younger, home was mostly about the space itself.

Now, home feels more about the life happening inside of it.

It’s the quiet mornings, coffee before the day starts, time with Ryan and August, and the little routines that make everyday life feel steady.

I’ve realized a home isn’t just where you live. It’s where your life happens.

Success Looks Different Too

When I first started in real estate, I think I viewed success a little differently.

Over time, I’ve realized the part I value most is the people.

Helping someone buy their first home. Walking with someone through a big transition.

Being trusted during an important season of life.

It’s less about the transaction and more about the relationship.

The Little Things Matter More

I used to think routines were boring.

Now I see them as grounding.

Reading my Bible, working out, taking care of August, spending time with Ryan, and

creating a home that feels peaceful are the things that shape my days.

They may seem small, but they add up.

Final Thoughts

I don’t think growth usually happens in one big moment.

Most of the time, it happens slowly.

Through different homes. Different seasons. Different versions of ourselves.

And maybe that’s the best part of life.

We get to keep learning, growing, and becoming someone who feels more like ourselves

with every season.
